Terms of Service
Last updated October 29, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Flourloop (“Flourloop”, “we”, “us”), a web application that helps home and cottage food bakers price recipes, take orders and payments, and produce labels. By creating an account or placing an order through a Flourloop order page you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Flourloop
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Bakers are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to their business, including state cottage food laws, local zoning, health department rules, sales tax and income tax.
2. Bakers and customers
Flourloop provides software. Each bakery is an independent business; the baker, not Flourloop, is the seller of every product. Contracts for sale are between the customer and the baker. Questions about products, allergens, refunds, delivery and quality must be resolved with the baker.
3. Payments and fees
- Card payments are processed by Stripe on the baker’s own connected Stripe account, under Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement.
- Flourloop charges a platform fee on each card payment equal to the greater of 5% of the payment or US$0.75. This amount includes Stripe’s standard card processing fees; Flourloop collects the difference as an application fee. Non-standard Stripe fees (for example international cards, currency conversion, disputes or Stripe add-on products) may be charged by Stripe separately.
- Payments recorded manually (cash, Venmo, Zelle, etc.) carry no Flourloop fee.
- When a baker refunds a card payment, Flourloop refunds its application fee proportionally. Stripe’s own processing fees may not be returned by Stripe.
- Bakers are responsible for chargebacks and disputes on their account.
4. Labels and compliance tools
Label templates and state statements are provided for convenience, compiled from public sources with a link to each source and the date it was checked. They are not legal advice, may be out of date, and may not reflect county or city requirements. Bakers must confirm requirements with their state or local regulator before use.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of recipes, photos and other content you upload. You grant Flourloop a limited license to host and display it only to operate the service. Don’t upload content you don’t have the right to share or that is unlawful.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no fraud, no selling prohibited or unsafe foods, no attempts to break security, scrape, or overload the service.
7. Affiliate links
Flourloop may show links to baking supplies. Some are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These are always labeled.
8. Termination and data
You may export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Some records (for example payment records) may be retained where required by law.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Flourloop is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or any food safety, allergen or product claims arising from goods sold by bakers. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect.
